| About kitz.co.uk |

kitz.co.uk is one of the UK's largest adsl/broadband resource & information sites.
This site contains a wealth of adsl information such as how adsl broadband works.
There's tips on choosing an ISP,
and help comparing ISP prices. and ISP performance.
A large section of the site is devoted to self help diagnostics and what to do if you run into problems with your adsl connection,
such as how to get adsl line stats from your router to understanding
how such things as SNR and attenuation can affect your connection. There's also a vast array of tutorials and FAQs about broadband.
It is independently run, and unlike some broadband sites, we do not focus only on certain ISPs which pay commission. Although the site is well known and respected within the ISP industry, our position means that we are free to tell you 'as it is' and allows us to carry information on far more ISPs than most other broadband comparison sites.
The site is continually expanding, with new pages being added or amended. New pages are normally announced on the Forum, but below is a selection of new pages and features to the site.

- 24/12/12 - Merry Christmas
Wishing all our readers and members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
- 31/12/11 - Happy New Year - New Kitz Wiki
Kitz.co.uk would like to wish our members and readers all the best for 2012.
To kick off the new year we are happy to announce the new kitz wiki. The wiki is intended to be a searchable repository of useful broadband articles and technical facts.
The benefit of the wiki is that the wiki content team can update pages quicker and easier than on the static pages and gradually some of the static content on the main site will be moved over to the wiki. If you would like to participate in the wiki or have any comments about it, then you can currently do so on the kitz forums.
In 2012, we also hope to introduce a new system for ISP pricing that is easier to maintain and keep up to date.
- Jan 11 - Updated - ISP Prices
ISP Pricing updated to reflect changes in VAT rate.
- Jun 09 - New - Detailed ISP Information
The site already holds various information for circa 40 UK Internet Service Providers.
A new section has been added which consolidates all stored information about an ISP to a single page. Simply select the ISP of your choice and information such as contact details, prices, technical details and latest ratings & customer comments are displayed.
- Feb 09 - Updated - ADSL Exchange Checker
Due to some ISPs now starting to differentiate pricing depending upon location, the adsl checker has now been amended to include the most up to date information on Broadband Access Market Classification. To find out what market your exchange has been classified as well as what LLU operators are available in your area use our adsl line checker.
- Feb 09 - New - OFCOM Broadband Access Market Classification
Since the change in BTw pricing earlier this year, we are now beginning to see a differential in pricing not just between IPStream and LLU, but also depending upon location.
Orange was one of the first ISPs to appear to do this, closely followed today by Plusnet who are the first fully IPStream ISP that are passing on deregularised exchange savings their customers.
A new page entitled OFCOMs Broadband Access Market Classification has been published to explain why there's a difference between pricing depending on your geographical location and which exchange you are connected to.
